I’m working on some designs for a Christmas preformance for Blackbird this week. Here’s what I have so far.

My New Project

I love typography. I love the shapes of letters. I have been toying with the idea of making some kind of art project using typography when I came upon paper quilling. Cutting paper into strips and using them to create some interesting shapes.

Yula Brodskaya has some amazing work combining the two ideas. I thought I would give it a shot. It’s a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Here is the project so far.

Fourth of July Camping

I went on a camping weekend for the Fourth of July. It was a blast. I haven’t seen some of these guys in ages. It was a great to see them again. The water was freezing though. Harry kept trying to push me in. I can’t rememeber the last time I has so much fun!

Updating My site

Hey! I’m adding little things here and there to my site. Check it out! I just learned how to make a J Query/JavaScript/CSS sideshow and added it to my site to showcase some of my work. It’s pretty awesome. I really like the simplicity. I’m not a coder by any stretch of the imagination so this was a triumph for me. I’m really glad it works! W00T! (oops I think I’m turning into a geek)

A Fight

Life is so busy now a days, new projects popping up everywhere. Family is coming for Easter and spring has finally come to town. The sun is shining and the day is beautiful. Maggie and I walked the Big Dam Bridge yesterday. I had a great time and it was wonderful. Maggie is still tired. Her little feet were all a whir trying to keep up.

She reminded me of the painting by Giacomo Balla “Dynamism of a Dog on a Leash”
