I love typography. I love the shapes of letters. I have been toying with the idea of making some kind of art project using typography when I came upon paper quilling. Cutting paper into strips and using them to create some interesting shapes.
Yula Brodskaya has some amazing work combining the two ideas. I thought I would give it a shot. It’s a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Here is the project so far.

Hey! I’m adding little things here and there to my site. Check it out! I just learned how to make a J Query/JavaScript/CSS sideshow and added it to my site to showcase some of my work. It’s pretty awesome. I really like the simplicity. I’m not a coder by any stretch of the imagination so this was a triumph for me. I’m really glad it works! W00T! (oops I think I’m turning into a geek)
More updates to come so keep checking back!

This open created by Trollback & Co, embraced the theme of Pop!Tech with organic elements like water growing whip-like arms and corrosion. This is a piece that takes three colors: white, black and red, and creates a truly stunning piece of art.

Finally we wrap with this truly beautiful piece of 3D typography that is the opener for the 25th anniversary of one of the most inspiring conferences in the world: TED.
